E Science USA • Clifford Lynch • Libraries must investigate changing research practice • Data must be contextualised by software, workflow etc. • How to manage software which manage data • Data must be available for re-use, not simply preserved • Change of scale will lead to change in way we do things • …will also lead to more institutional collaboration • More specialisation of roles in libraries • Library has a role in establishing values – intellectual property issues, public v private data, availability of government funded data, standards.
