Avoid Jargonized Questions • Survey questions should utilize “common, everyday language” written on the “communication level” of the survey respondents • Example: A statement “...an ergonomically shaped grip…” would be better stated as “…a grip that fits the shape of your hand…” • Explanation: technical terms, marketing terms, Appalachian dialects, etc will only be understood by designers and engineers, marketing professionals and kids from Appalachia.
