Character Types. Flat Characters. Minor characters who do not undergo much change/growth in story Do not learn much about them or their background Usually only part of the story for a short time Character does not have many traits Examples: Dentist from Finding Nemo Flo from the fish tank.

  2. Flat Characters • Minor characters who do not undergo much change/growth in story • Do not learn much about them or their background • Usually only part of the story for a short time • Character does not have many traits • Examples: • Dentist from Finding Nemo • Flo from the fish tank

  3. Round Characters • Most interesting/complex characters in story • Well developed • Has many traits • Example: Dory from Finding Nemo

  4. Static Characters • Character that remains the same throughout story • Can be a major character (but they do not change) • Example: Dory from Finding Nemo

  5. Dynamic Characters • Change in course of the story • Change occurs due to events • Usually the protagonist, but not always • Example: Marlin from Finding Nemo
