Have Fun, Let Go, & Get Involved Children have short attention spans and need hands-on activities. Children love to imitate! So the more involved you are, the more involved the children will be! When you are doing fun activities with the children such as singing songs or doing a play, change your voice and use novelty! Children love this! Also Children need repetition, so don’t just sing a song once.
Example: In this example we are working on language and syllabusy Hickety Pickety Bumblebee, who can say their name for me… Say it Whisper it Say it and Clap it Turn off your voice-CLICK Then just clap it

Examples Of Using Props Props can be used in many ways to make songs, story time, or plays fun. You can also use props to signal circle time or to help the children pick up. You could use a puppet who rings a bell to show that it is circle time, and remember to be consistent with what you use. You could use a kazoo to help the children with the beat to a clean up song. You can make simple props for songs and plays by making animal hats or necklaces with cut outs and just use banner and velcro to make it into a hat or yarn to make it into a necklace. You can have noise makers for the kids to shake by letting them decorate toilet paper rolls, put unpopped popcorn inside and then staple them shut! BE CREATIVE in order to get the children involved!
