  2. BACKGROUND • NickiMinaj,Was born as Onika Tanya Maraj on Decemeber 8, 1984,she grew up with an abusive, drug-addicted father. Her father killed her mom in a fire he set at their house, she also has a little brother and sister. Onika graduated from La Guardia High School for the Arts, she was introduced to rapper Lil Wayne, who launched her career .

  3. ACCOMPLISHMENTS 1. She became the first artist ever to have seven songs within the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. 2. Her debut album Pink Friday went platinum. 3. She became the first female artist to be included on MTV's Annual Hottest MC List. 4. She has won six BET (Black Entertainment Television) awards.

  4. REFLECTION • I picked this person because I think she inspires young ladies that they can over come anything in life and also I feel even though she been through alot in life she don’t show it , and also I like her style.
