  3. http://rvcschool.wikispaces.com Project Purpose • State of Pennsylvania Department of Education identified weaknesses and issues concerning remote learners • The State established the Regional Virtual Campus Project to design an online program for K-12 learners that meets State curriculum guidelines

  7. http://rvcschool.wikispaces.com Regional Virtual Campus (RVC) Project Overview • State secured $1.5 million federal grant for pilot • Pilot is a collaboration among 3 districts • Academic Year 2015-2016 RVC will be a budgeted line item as part of the State’s budget allocation

  8. http://rvcschool.wikispaces.com Regional Virtual Campus (RVC) Future • Anticipate that by 2020 all school districts will be participating • Private schools may join the RVC for a fee • Additional revenue from private sector will be discretionary funds for additional faculty, staff, and operating expenses to expand programs; or maintained as a fund balance to cover budget cuts if needed.
