The Fabric • All Red Wing fabrics are specifically made to meet the demands of the upstream oil and gas industry. • Using environmentally friendly technologies and chemicals (most fabrics are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified and/or are made in ISO EN 14001 Environmental Management System certified cloth mills). • All fabrics are regularly tested both internally in our own RW lab and externally; again, to a large extent, RWSC’s own quality standards exceed the internationally recognized standards. • All fabrics are made under strict quality systems to guarantee the highest level of consistency. • All fabrics are lot-controlled and can be traced back to the batch of raw materials from which the yarns were made.

  3. Fabric Weave Features and Benefits Plain • The most open, breathable weave. • Features good stability, balance and easy care. • Surface not as smooth as other weaves. Twill • One or more warp fibers alternatively woven over and under two or more weft fibers in a regular, repeated manner. • Often includes different threads in weft and warp, to maximize the advantages of the fibers used in the yarn. • Offers better coverage but is less breathable than plain weaves. • Smooth surface. • High mechanical strength. • Satin • • Similar to twill, modified to produce fewer intersections of warp and weft. • Very smooth surface. • High mechanical strength. • Very good coverage, but less breathable than other weaves.

Flash Guard 6oz / 200g • New construction: 35% cotton, 54% Kanakaron, 10% Aramid (Nomex), 1% carbon • Designed for maximum comfort in hot and tropical climates. • Inherent FR due to the man-made fiber content. • High color fastness to light 5, on the 1 to 5 scale. • Made in the world’s most environmentally friendly cloth mill. • Lot control from fiber to finished fabric. • Due to the man-made fibers, has little to no shrinkage. • Permanent anti static properties. • EN and NFPA approved.

  5. 35% Cotton, 54% Kanakaron, 10% Aramid (Nomex), 1% Carbon • Advantages: • Very durable due to modacrylic fibers • Lightweight as compared to cotton and very comfortable • Breathability in hot and humid climates • Withstands repeated washings • Less shrinkage than 100% cotton because it only has 35% cotton • Little loss of color • Modacrylic fibers are inherently FR at the molecular level • NFPA2112 component certified & EN531 garment certified Antistatic
