  2. Response to Literature • 1. Describe Squeaky. What does the reader learn about her personality in the short story? Be specific. • 2. Describe the relationship between Raymond and Squeaky. How does Squeaky feel about taking care of Raymond? • 3. What does Raymond do during the race? How do Raymond’s actions change Squeaky’s view of him? After seeing Raymond, why does Squeaky lose interest in the official outcome of the race? • 4. How does Squeaky express her love for her brother Raymond? What sacrifices does Squeaky make?

  3. The Hunger Games Chapters 1-2 • After reading Chapters 1-2 in The Hunger Games, think about some of the literary elements we just discussed. Be specific.

  6. Response to Literature • Describe a personal sacrifice that you have made. For whom did you make the sacrifice? What did the sacrifice involve? How did it make you feel to make a personal sacrifice for someone else?
