Establish Goals • Return employees with temporary disabilities or restrictions to temporary modified or alternate positions as soon as practicable (WHA). • Identify the need for reasonable accommodations in a timely manner (Voluntary Request for Reasonable Accommodation form). • Initiate good faith interactive process meetings in a timely manner and always document such meetings. • Return employees with permanent disabilities to sustainable permanent modified or alternate positions. • Comply with statutory requirements and document all attempts to comply with such requirements. • Minimize exposures related to employment practices law suits. Documented actions should speak for themselves.
