Tumour Matching Workshop – The SWCIS Method Tumour Match Rates On our last batch run of 39,378 Clearnet records: 11,500 records (29%) failed the patient match - ie. did not reach the Tumour Match - recycled Of the 27,878 records that did reach the tumour match: 21,230 records (77%) - were successfully auto.processed 6,377 records (22%) - were discarded 204 records (0.8%) - failed the Business Rules 67 records (0.2%) - were recycled
Tumour Matching Workshop – The SWCIS Method Lessons Learned Overcomplicated Rules – result of too many cooks, each batch run takes 17 hours to run Little documentation – maintenance a nightmare No ICD8 Family Groups Lack of testing – led to too many secondaries recorded and C80’s
