Anonymity, Security and Privacy through Private Proxies
Our current generation which is sometimes referred to as “Generation Z” or “Post Millennials”, “the iGeneration“, ”Founders”, “Plurals”, or “the Homeland Generation”, is said to have an early advantage to advanced technology. This is due to technology’s affordability. This generation would become more competent to our high tech world. Even before they start schooling, internet is already part of their lives. Having been exposed to World Wide Web, they are accustomed using the net whether be it downloading trending topics or something that catches their interests, playing online games, checking emails, and even utilizing some useful apps, software systems etc that are helpful even to those who are already in the business world.
Everyone needs to be cautious of accessing the internet. As you engage on internet activities, your IP address is being logged and tracked. Security and privacy really matter. The use of proxy enters here. But what is proxy? Is it really needed? Some people aren’t aware that they are actually using proxies. Maybe they don’t know exactly what proxy is, that is why. A simple understandable definition of proxy is that “it is an intermediary that is used by companies or individuals when working on the internet.” Using proxy, you are indirectly accessing the web keeping you anonymous.
Several proxies are available depending on their specific purposes. However, those purposes are summed up into two major purposes namely; to improve performance and to filter requests. By saving all requests for a certain amount of time, it makes the operation faster. Filtering of requests involves preventing unauthorized users to access specific internet sites. Thus, providing security and enhancing your privacy. The proxy that provides this kind of service is what they call private proxies. Private proxies offer a highly anonymous dedicated IP and will authorize you as the sole and primary user. The most common private proxy format is “IP: PORT”.
Private proxies offer several advantages. As the sole user, you have the privilege to use the entire service to yourself, giving you fast speeds as you browse the net, even in peak hours. As it hides your IP address it also adds security and protection to your privacy. In short, private proxy makes your IP address invisible. Every time you access the net, no one will and can track down your activities. It requires authorization for others to be able to have access. This can be done through IP authentication, the other is through the use of Username/ Password such as “IP: PORT: Username: Password”. It can also successfully avoid and block spam. Since it is only you and no one else is sharing on private proxy, it last longer than any other proxies. Since personal information is not compromised using private proxies, it is more advisable and most commonly use for Search Engine Optimization (SEO.) They can access their competitor’s website and do some stalking stuffs against their competitors without them knowing it.
