  1. 2007 CSI Survey Stats • Bots directly caused $2.8 million in damages from only 194 respondents • Indirect costs may total more than $45 million from same sample • 436 respondents reported less than 20% of their attacks as bots, down from 40% in 2002 (i.e., bots are harder to find and more effective) • While 46% of 454 respondents have experienced losses, only 29% have “hacking” insurance
