Quality and deadlines for conference papers Guidelines issued by Philippe Lebrun: • Following discussion at the GLM, please find below a summary of our decisions aiming at improving quality and meeting deadlines for conference papers from the department: • Only papers corresponding to approved abstracts will be considered. • A final draft is defined as a document having the complete and correct scientific content, text (semantics, style and orthography), figures, tables, references and format, as judged by its main author, who therefore commits his responsibility in submitting it to his hierarchy. • All final drafts will be proofread by group leaders and filtered for possible lack of compliance with the above requirements. • Only after that will all final drafts be sent to the department head for approval, at least six working days before the deadline of the conference or the departure of the main author, whichever comes first. • Any final draft found not compliant at this stage will be rejected and its submission for publication in the conference proceedings withheld, without prejudice of further sanctions. • I ask you to make all potential authors in your group knowledgeable of these decisions.
