  1. Downloading eBooks to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch from Overdrive

  2. Step 1: Find your App Store

  3. Step 2: Search for “Overdrive” in your App Store

  4. Step 3: Choose “Overdrive Media Console” and tap the green install button

  5. Step 4: Overdrive Media Console will now appear with your other apps

  6. Step 5: Open Overdrive by tapping on the app. You will see this screen. Tap on “Get Books +” in the right hand corner.

  7. Step 6: Tap on “Add a Library”. Enter your zip code and choose the Metro Library Network. You will be redirected to the Library’s selection of eBooks and eAudiobooks.

  8. Step 7: Make your selections and check out the books with your library card number and pin. When the books are checked out, tap on the “Download” button. Any book that says “Place Hold” is already checked out.

  9. Step 8: Your book will begin to download. To read the book, just tap on the picture of the book. When you are done with the book, choose the Edit button in the upper left hand

  10. Step 9:Tap on the book you would like to delete.

  11. Step 10: Choose “Return then Delete” if you are completely finished with the book and want to return it early. “Delete Only” will delete the book from your device but the book will stay on your account until the due date. It will then be automatically returned.
