  14. What is LED? • LED lights are solid state lights i.e. they do not contain gases like ordinary light sources. Instead, they convert electrical energy straight into light energy • LED lights have been used for a long time as light emitting diodes, indicator lamps etc. Only recently, this technology has been successfully used for illuminating purposes • Around the world, this technology is now being used as an even better alternative to energy savers and now Get Technologies has brought LED technology to Pakistan as answer to the current energy crisis
