For every instrument you should find a picture, as well as 3 facts. Slide Guitar Harmonica Saxophone Trumpet Double Bass Everything should be written in your own words and should be in clear sentences. You can present your work in your books or as a word document.

  3. Homework Task 2: Here are the main music keywords for this topic. They are in the first column. In the second column are the definitions for each one but they are jumbled up! Complete this activity in your book. Write out the keyword and match it up to the correct definition.

  4. Homework Task 3: This homework helps you to identify and remember the chords used in the 12 bar blues and also the notes that are in each of these chords. Remember, in the tonic key the 12-bar blues used chord 1, 4 and 5. e.g. In the scale of C major: C (1) D (2) E (3) F (4)G (5) A (6) B (7) C (1) Task: Work out the notes in each triad (chord with 3 notes). Write the letter names of the notes used in the chords. Remember to write the the lowest pitch (the tonic note) first: C major : _ _ _ F major: _ _ _ G major: _ _ _ Extension activity: What would the chords and notes be if the 12 bar blues was played in the key of G major?
