Late Work Policy (if not absent): • Homework is expected to be done on time. • Our expectation is that missing or incomplete assignments must be completed. • Late work will only receive partial credit.
Reading Class • ACMS Reading Class Mission: “To give students consistent, frequent opportunities to read and interact with a variety of genres, and to develop or sustain a love of reading.” • 30 minutes a day • Guided, but student choice in reading

Assignment Supportand Grading • Student Planner-review daily with your child • All students will be trained in using online textbooks • Weekly “Friday Folders” • Grading: Letter Grades - A, B, C… based on 100% … Points…Weighting • Grades Online through TTUSD website • Contact district or school office if you did not receive information on accessing Aeries.
Friday Folders • Grade Sheets Included • Sign and return for Monday • Please remember to remove and keep handouts, and any completed work • Questions: write us a note on grade sheet and return in folder
Aeries Please use our grading website! • ABI link can be found at acms.ttusd.org “Check Your Grade Here” • Passwords and logins will be sent directly to you, contact the DO for more information. • Friday Folders will contain a grade print out every Friday. • Please allow time for grades to be posted, especially after an absence. • Demonstration of ABI from our view.
How Do I Support My Student? • Check the homework folder • Check on-line grades • Check, sign, and return Friday Folders every week • Arrange homework club (Dates & Times TBA) • Parent volunteers • Check and sign the planner every night • Check our on-line teacherpage for homework assignments???
RESPONSIBILITYWHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE ABSENT • Bring a note from home and get an admit slip from the office. • Copy down assignments from planner board. • Collect assignments from daily folders. • Speak with teachers and/or other students for any other information you may have missed. • Homework requests (2 or more days) • Independent study (5 or more days) • You will have one day for everyday you missed class to make up the work, including weekends. • Make arrangements to make up tests/quizzes.
General Information • Minimum Days- First one is 9/14 • First School Dance is September 16th • Conferences: Oct. 24-28 (min. days) • How we can all help support the school: • Volunteer time: classroom, Dances • Support School Spellathon • Use eScrip • Collect “Boxtops for Education” and register online at Boxtops for Education to earn $ for school while shopping online. • PTO- join and attend meetings
