Resumé • Peter Fournier is a multi-skilled freelance writer who specializes in covering prep sports, local news and column writing. • Born and raised in California, Fournier graduated with the class of 2007 at Rodriguez High School in Fairfield. He graduated from Solano Community College with a degree in liberal arts in 2011. Currently, Fournier studies journalism at San Jose State University. • When Patch.com launched its hyper-local websites in Northern California in February 2010, Fournier was one of the first freelance writers to work for them, and is still writing for its sites today as a contributor and guest editor. • Fournier has covered prep sports since 2007, when he was hired by the Daily Republic as a part-time sports writer. He helped them write staff reports and formatted scoreboard agate. Since that time he has covered high school football, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, lacrosse, golf and soccer, primarily for East and North Bay Patch sites. • Fournier is currently the Daily Republic’s San Francisco 49erscolumnist and feature writer. • In addition to the NFL, Fournier has covered the California State high school basketball championships, PBA bowling and the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.
