  9. 2012 Annual Student Conference: June 23-24 2012 SHRM Annual Student Conference • Held in conjunction with SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition in Atlanta • 400 students and faculty and 12,000 professionals expected to attend • Students and faculty members receive a nearly 80% discount. Registration includes access to both student AND professional conferences as well as the exposition, keynote speakers and entertainment. • Students: $275 through May 24 $320 May 25 – June 23 • Faculty: $350 through May 24 $485 May 25 – June 23

Due March 31 of each year • Charter Chapters • Provide leadership and support for student efforts

State of Young Professionals: What is SHRM Doing? • SHRM is diligently working on developing a nationwide YP engagement initiative • Young Professional Advisory Council • Focus Group at 2012 Annual Conference • Survey of YPs coming in Q3 • Pilot groups in Chicago, New York, Seattle and Washington, DC. • Kick-Off Events • Chicago – Networking Happy Hour in April 2012 • 63 attendees • Seattle – Networking Happy Hour May 2012 • 46 attendees
