  6. how is it financed? Members make a contribution by levies proportionate to the glass used by each member company at all stages of the container’s use. This applies to the container, the filling and the selling into the New Zealand market whether manufactured in New Zealand or imported.

  8. what is required of members? all members are required to provide specific data and meet common objectives to demonstrate commitment to the scheme

  20. For six years the Glass Packaging Forum has operated as a product steward for glass and its programme has now been refined into a formal, accreditable product stewardship scheme. Under the Act, Product Stewardship is a seven year programme. Operationally, we are at the early stages of the process and are fully aware that we are expected to deliver on objectives.
