This project aims to enhance the quality of engineering education by implementing outcome-based education and improving the first-year experience. The goals include defining rubrics, obtaining program accreditation, and setting up a teaching and learning center. The work plan involves faculty training, formulating program objectives, implementing teaching-learning processes, and conducting assessments. The project also includes enhancing the first-year engineering education through an induction program, application-oriented thinking, social consciousness, and personal and societal health awareness. The plan includes various activities such as faculty development, seminars, workshops, yoga classes, industry visits, and societal interaction. The effectiveness of the goals will be measured through rubrics, performance reports, student feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Implementing Outcome Based Education • To enhance the quality of teaching and learning by defining rubrics. • To get accreditation of existing programs. 2.Work Plan to achieve Goals • Outcome Based Education • Leader: Dr S.SriGowri • Formulation of a team for implementing OBE and make Institute ready for • accreditation • Two Months: To research and gather information, training on OBE • Two Months: formulate PEOs, PO and COs for each program and map with Mission • One Month: To train the faculty on rubrics for each activity • Six Months: Implementing and documenting Teaching Learning Process to meet • PEOs,POs,andCOs. • One Month: Assessment of attainments for the academic year

STEP BY STEP APPROACH • Training The Faculty Members On Obe By Internal Resource By External Resource • Building Teams And Entrusting Tasks • Weekly And Monthly Evaluation • Defining Further Action Based On Evaluation If The Target Is Met, Then Define The Higher Level Of Task Or else, restrategy For Reaching The Target SOURCE OF FUNDING : Management Of The Institute SOURCE OF MANPOWER :Faculty Of The Institution .If Additional Faculty Is Required We Will Hire Them COLLABORATION With In The College Is Highly Possible MEASURE OF EFFECTIVENESS OF GOAL ACHIEVEMENT • 1. Rubrics Measurement For Each Month • 2. Measure Of Performance Of Duties Assigned To Team Roles On Weekly Basis • 3. Semester End Performance Reports And Taking Remedies • 4. OBE Assessment And Evaluation At Institutional Level Once In A Semester • 5. Student Feedback Twice In A Semester And Correction Accordingly • 6. Continuous Improvement Initiatives

Allotting a small batch of students to each faculty member so that they will motivate / counsel / train throughout the year in order to improve student quality step by step 3. Motivating the students by External resources 4. IUCEE HELP • IUCEE can help in providing training through webinars to faculty • Providing webinars, workshops to students so that students may be motivated to • perform well

Enhancing First Year Engineering Education Quality • To provide Induction Programme • To inculcate application oriented thinking • To inculcate social consciousness and self responsibility • To develop awareness on personal and societal health issues 2. Work Plan: Leader:Dr .A.Padmaja a. Induction Programme in • Communication and Problem Solving Skills • Human Values and Professional Ethics • Building Team Spirit and Individual Decision- making Skills b. Creating Awareness about societal issues like environment and health c. Conducting yoga and meditation classes for well being Proposed Task Accomplishment Monthly/Semester wise Schedule • First two weeks implementing induction programme • Arranging Yoga classes and meditation at least three times a week • At least 2-3 visits to industry branch wise in a semester. • Inviting resource persons from various industry for seminars at least 2-3 times in a semester . • Encouraging students to visit nearby places or villagers and interact with people to identity societal issues and maybe arrive at solutions. • Arranging motivational classes/wokshops for improving team skills at least 2-3 times in a semester. • Arranging special classes for improving communication skills on a regular basis

Step by Step approach -Teachers’ involvement in student activities to be increased. - Sensitizing students by holding seminars/workshops - Creating clubs for improved team spirit -Assessing and evaluating progress in form of feedbacks, responses from parents, holding events where students shoulder the responsibility. Source of funding: Management -Source of man power: faculty and students, sometimes outside resource person, hiring faculty for yoga and meditation. -Conducting intercollegiate events/fests can help in students’ growth. -Resource persons can be invited from different colleges. Measuring the Effectiveness of Goal -By studying the responses of students during the times of trials and tribulations -By giving students opportunities for conducting co-curricular and extra-curicularprogrammes 3. Probable problems/obstacles/shortcomings -Firstly, time constraint. We have to try to incorporate all the programmes without disturbing JNTUK curriculum to whom the college is affiliated. -Attitude/upbringing of the diverse students coming to the college. -Conducting seminars/workshops may be expensive. 4. IUCEE Help • IUCEE-Can help in providing webinars and workshops to Faculty and students to enhance motivational level. IUCEE to help us in identifying and providing human resources to conduct workshops faculty in teaching methodologies for inculcating application oriented learning among students.

Setting up Teaching and Learning Center - Establish Teaching Learning Center. - Provide Knowledgeable Human Resources as well as Learning Resources for improving Teaching Learning Process - Develop Transparent Teaching Learning Evaluation Policies - Blend Technology in to Teaching Learning Process - Promote Inquisitive Learning based teaching 2. Work Plan: Leader:DrD.Haritha - Establish Teaching Learning Center-September 2019 - Conduct workshops and training faculty on effective teaching –one workshop every two months - Provide Multiple Learning Sources-October 2019 - Blend Technology in Teaching and Learning Model(Training teachers in latest Teaching methodologies)—January 2020 - Certification courses in Effective Teaching-April 2020 - Effective Classroom Assessment methodologies and Reflection –May 2020 - Keep a Personalized Approach in Teaching and Learning-June 2020 - Source of Funding: Management of Institute. -Source of Manpower: Faculty of the Institute, NITTTR, IUCEE. - Collaboration: Planning for NITTTR, Chennai and IUCEE resource persons.
