SECUSSA's Pathways to the Profession: Who We Are and How We Got Here • The Survey: • 296 Responses collected via the Webfrom January to mid-April • 53 questions • Totally unscientific • No reliability testing • Very interesting, but not necessarily accurate
Part I: Who Are We ? • Average tenure in Education Abroad: 9.2 years • New (0-3 years)22% of respondents • Mid (4-12) 47% • Senior (13- up) 31% • Average time in current position: 4 years • 40% have been in their current position 1-3 years • About 5% more than 15 years • 70% Female; 30 % Male

Who are We at Work? • 92.5 % are working full-time in their positions; however only • 56% are working full time in Education Abroad • 17 % are working more than three-quarters time in EA • 8% up to three-quarters and also about • 8% up to one-half time in EA
