PALM3000 Status 2/17/10 Jenny Roberts
Completed Work • TTM fully integrated into the new system • Loops closed with LODM and TTM • Enclosure installed • Final WFS cables tested and in use • PHARO interface complete • Scimotion automation – coordinated image motion for WFS and science paths • WFS residuals, SSM image motion, stimulus motion and ACAM image scale calibrated against PHARO • SSM pupil motion accuracy verified • DM cabling mechanics – boxes, supports
Work in progress • Database split for stability at higher frame rates • GUI strip charts (tt res, tt pos, avg dm res, flux) • White light control • External instrument interface (TCP/IP) is in testing today • Debugging automations and control software • HODM cabling – see later slide • Servo offloading testing • Motor cable boxes • Cart post modifications • Cooled racks (almost complete) • Palomar wrap for power and cooling lines
HODM • DM cables • Current best estimate to completion is mid-March • Combination of external company and Caltech/JPL techs working on cables • Partial testing can begin the first of March • HODM • Once cables have been successfully tested with the mirror, the racks, cables and mirror will be shipped to Palomar • The HODM needs to be aligned on the bench so that HODM and LODM actuators are well registered to one another • Based on this, the March run will only have the TTM and LODM available
