The Cord of LifeWritten by Rev. Paul Lai Translated by Brenda Tsang
Through a mother's support, children with developmental disabilities are able to overcome overwhelming pains and sorrows. Such a mother is even more honorable!
While we were forming in our mother's womb, an umbilical cord connected us to her body.
Her blood was transferred to us through this cord. It transferred also our parents’ unique personality to us. This cord means a continuation and sharing of life.
Even when the umbilical cord was cut as soon as we were born, this “cord of life” exists forever in another form. That is the invisible form of love.
Spiritually, this cord of life is a symbol of our relationship with God. God breathes life into us through our mothers.
In this way, He gives us a spirit when we were still in our mothers’ wombs. Then we come to this world with spirit, soul and body. Our spirit is the gateway for us to communicate with God.
Unfortunately, we strayed away from God – our life giver. It is sin that severed our ties with Him. But thanks to the Lord. Through Jesus Christ’s love and by faith,
our ties with Him can be restored. If we accept Hisrestoration, we become once again His children. joyful communion with God isours once more.
With the relationship with God, our life is neither a sea of endless miseries nor an aimless wandering in the wilderness any more.
The path we walk on will turn all the brighter as our relationship with Him strengthens. He will lead us all way into the eternity, where we will see our Lord face to face. 若要瀏覽更多ppt請打開http://rainbowpaullai.com/
