  1. Father and Prodigal Son-- Meditating on Luke 15:20 Written by: Paul LaiProduced by: Portinia NgTranslated by: Brenda Tsang

  2. While the prodigal was still far off, his father saw him coming back home. • Do we see today our children's needs and struggles?

  3. Only when we do, can we understand their inner world – their thinking andfeelings.

  4. The father was filled with compassion. When we are willing to spend time on our kids, our heart will be moved by the love of God. Then, we will be able to have heart-to-heart talks with them.

  5. As a survey conducted by the University of Illinois, USA, points out, those fathers who spend just a little time talking with their kids about their school life and their friends tend to help improve continually their kids’ reading abilities and test scores.

  6. Running means loosing no time. We should not wait in bringing up our children, but act while they can still be instructed. The book of Proverbs says: “Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray”(Pro. 22:6). It would be too late to train them, when your kids are grown up.

  7. The father put his arms around him and kissed him.Embracing and kissing are expressions of love. What a child needs most is the parents'wholehearted love. Those who have received sufficient love from parents when they were young tend to love other people more easily. It is because love has power of life that can multiply itself.

  8. Hugging and kissing are the customary ways of Westerners and MiddleEastern people in showing their love. As compared with them, we Chinese people have more reserved manner. We do love. But our love is invisible. It sure needs to be expressive so that our kids may feel it.

  9. Give your children a hug and kiss and let them feel the warmth of your love. When they are sad and down, give them a hug of comfort. When they are happy and joyful, give them a hug of congratulation.

  10. See, filled with passion, run, hug and kiss,” these five terms illustrate the actions of a loving father. May you and I learn a lesson through these terms from the prodigal's father and love our own children with such actions. 若要瀏覽更多ppt請打開http://rainbowpaullai.com/
