Adult Problems can be just as bad….. • Fewer sources of help available • Severe problems concentrated in certain populations • $$ and sources of care are both problems “The child is grandfather of the man”
Troublesome Trends in Ontario(System Problems) • Erosion of hospital dental services • Programs axed, Reduced OR time, De-listing of services • Sick Kids, Peterborough • Training / Personnel • Hard to replace aging specialists • Distribution (under serviced areas) • Remuneration Issues • Established public health measures being sacrificed for short term $ gain (not universal)
