Home-based Care • Any form of care given in the home. • CRS has over 250 HIV programming in 52 countries. Over 50% of these provide care and support, most provide HBC. • Volunteers do not receive salaries but may receive incentives (travel stipends, t-shirts, work bags, etc)

Study Findings: Volunteer Motivating Factors • Previous experience caring for orphans • Childhood self-identified as good and stable • Higher education level • Quality supervision including regular feedback
As a Result of Volunteering • 98.1% said the project contributed POSITIVELY to their lives: • Better able to relate to people, manage their families and business • Improved perception of the value of life • Increased social status in society
