Communication • Honest communication between PTs, patients, front office staff and MDs to provide patients with the best care and experience
Friendly factor • Greeting patients by name as they enter the clinic • Giving a great impression within the first 90 seconds a patient enters the clinic, as well as a good last impression • Treating all patients equally, as you would treat a family member
Encouraging environment • Continuing to instruct patients in a constructive manner • Maintaining positive attitudes during session to help encourage patients no matter what level function they are during their episode of care
Team work • Working together to help and assist other clinicians with assessment and treatment • Working together with clinicians and support staff to give patients the best experience • Introducing pt to clinical director and other clinicans
Professionalism • Professional appearance of staff and clinic • Appropriate communication
Convenience • Early morning and evening appointment times • Offering initial evaluation appointment within 24-48 hours • Ease of accessing the clinic • Limited waiting time
Caring • Showing empathy toward each patient • Following up with patients that miss appointments or do not return • Communicating with other appropriate medical personnel if needed
Including pt in their POC • Help the patient to address their personal goals as part of the goal setting process • Educating patient on the importance of their contribution and time commitment to improve their outcomes • Constructing HEP with patients to find a program that will work for them.
Commitment • Explaining to each patient who their primary clinician is and introducing PTAs, ATCs etc • Commitment letter- explains to patient we are here to help and if there is any thing that is not up to expectation to please speak up • Continue to convey commitment to end of episode, encourage pts to call with questions following DC • Follow DC with satisfaction surveys
