Why Have a Competition? • Club leaders unhappy with current budget allocation • GBA budget based on number of students and therefore unlikely to sufficiently increase • So, why not create a contest to encourage GBS Club Leaders to fundraise for their clubs and increase their budgets?
Competition Details • Clubs will all start at $0 in terms of fundraising efforts counting towards the competition (i.e. previous fundraising or corporate sponsorship money will not count for this contest) • Clubs will be given until 12 PM on the last day of classes (Section Feud Day) to fundraise for their club and submit their results • Fundraising efforts can be in any form (corporate sponsorship, community fundraising, club dues, etc.) • The total amounts will be compared and the winning club announced at Section Feud
Prize Money • Prize money will be awarded to the top 2 fundraising clubs and will be added to the club’s budget allocation for spring semester • Prize money: • 1st Prize = $150 - $250 • 2nd Prize = $50 - $150 (Jeff and Reed will determine actual amount)
How this works? • Opportunity to bring the entire GBS community, friends, etc. together for a night of bowling • Fun, Fun, Fun!!! • Proceeds will go toward the Spring budget
Questions… • What do we need to consider? • Which approach do we want to pursue?
