Classroom vs. Competition Teacher Activity • Break into groups of five. • Each group will be given a copy of course standards and guidelines for one or more HOSA competitive events. • Your group should: • Choose your HOSA competitive event and an aligned Tennessee Standards for Literacy writing standard. • Identify the course content standard you want to teach/practice/reinforce. • Make applicable to all students based on your content in your class (how to customize). • For example, change the topic for the Prepared Speaking event or Public Service Announcement event to address a particular content standard you are working on. • Design and plan your project.
