For some dogs recovering can be tedious, for some painful, and for some simple process, which is also depending on which type of surgery too. However, for the first few weeks after surgery dog will likely require some special care. If you want to help your dog recover quickly, easily, and effectively, follow these easy tips mentioned below.

  4. Keep Dog Stay Warm You want to help your dog maintain the perfect temperature, especially since the effects of anesthesia can affect your dog's ability to regulate temperature. For the first couple of days your pup likely won't know if it's hot or cold, so be mindful of his temperature and help keep him warm. And also keep your dog on the floor rather than in high places such as beds, furniture, or stairs as they might fall over.

  5. Regular Wound Care Either you or your veterinarian should regularly clean your dog's wounds and replace bandages to help it heal faster and reduce the risk of infections.
