  2. PDS Delivery Status Overview • Overall delivery system running smoothly. • Upgrades to JIMIX software have eliminated most of our front-end (Dataset ID Generation and SIP updates) delivery set-up problems. • Back-end (delivery and AIP generation) – No reported problems.

  3. PDS Large Volume Deliveries • We are trying out NAS System delivery with Imaging Node, 60 TB NAS unit is in transit. • Data “Toasters” good up to 9-12 TBs, 2 TB Data Bricks used for smaller deliveries. • NSSDC will be connected to the Science and Engineering Network (SEN, or Internet2) within a few months. Goddard is currently at the 1-GigE level, but is looking to upgrade to 10-GigE.

Release of PDS CD-ROM Data Sets We have started the process of releasing PDS CD-ROM data volumes for which we have received and verified the full AIP version of the data set: • Viking 1 Lander Raw Image EDRs on CD-ROM • Mars Global Surveyor Science Sampler CD-ROM • MGS Mars Orbiter Camera DSDP Archive • Viking 1 and 2 Lander Footpad Temperature Sensor Data • Viking 1 and 2 Lander Footpad Temperature Sensor Data Magellan Radar Global Vector Data Record (GVDR) V1.0 • Lunar Prospector Raw (Level 0) Experiment Data Archive • Viking Landing Sites Rock Population Archival Data Set • Viking Landing Sites Rock Population Archival Data Set • Lunar Prospector Gravity: Spherical Harm. Models and Digital Map Data Archive • Ground-based Spectrophotometry of the Jovian Planets and Titan • Viking Lander Labelled Release Experiment Archive

  6. Analog Update • Press Release Photographs have been inventoried, boxed up, and are awaiting pickup by NARA. • NARA is still considering map and photographic products. • Feedback on microform holdings has been passed on to HQ, we are now hoping to be able to digitize some of our holdings. We will be asking for PDS input on prioritizing microform for digitization.
