Machine Information Panel Current tool number Elapsed time of current job Current feed rate set in program Diameter of current cutting tool Current spindle speed set in the program Number of passes made in current program Total number of blocks in the program Current coordinate system Block sequence number of block being executed
Verify Window Verify window used to test program code before attempting to cut a part. This option creates a simulation based on code and description of tools in tool library.
Verify Setup Select solid or centerline to represent tool and block Slide bar to tilt block in window Zoom in/out or fit block in window (all) Provides three predefined views: top, front, and isometric Slide bar to rotate block
Identifies initial tool position. Used to verify and provide reference for verification process. Set origin of stock at (0,0,0). Most parts use upper left corner. Verify Setup Stock Set size of stock in Verify window.
Verify Setup Options Centerline options Automatically refreshes display structure if wireframe is changed Automatically refreshes Verify window when structure of solid is changed Displays tool Shows rapid moves made by tool
Jog Control Panel Adjusts jog feed rate Slow (1in./min) Med (12in./min) Fast (50in./min) Enables keyboard control (F4) Identifies incremental step distances when jogging machine Positive Y Axis jog (up arrow) Positive Z Axis jog (plus sign) Step at .001 inch (A) Step at .010 inch (B) Positive X Axis jog (right arrow) Switches from incremental to continuous movement Step at .100 inch (C) Negative Z axis jog (minus sign) Negative X axis jog (left arrow) Negative Y axis jog (down arrow)
Jog Control Panel Change the feed rate for slow, medium, and fast settings Set the incremental steps for A, B, and C
Standard cut/copy/paste Program Window Will evaluate selected code Jump to a specific line number Automatically renumbers the program Saves the file in its current location Run the program without prompting Verify the program without prompting Estimate length of program
Prompts user or provides current information Status Bar Shows whether current home position is valid Indicates the line number of the edit cursor and the total number of lines Shows the state of Caps Lock Indicates whether file was modified since last save Shows state of Number Lock Shows status of program lock Current time
Homing The Mill • Homing occurs when a spindle or cross slide is moved to a known fixed position on a machine. • Homing commands perform two functions • Check against specified coordinates for calibration loss • Provide quick machine setup when part location does not vary
