Our research programme: 1995-2016 • 1995-1997: Qualitativevalidation by Langlois of Starratt’stridimensional model through the study of ethical dilemmas (PH. D. dissertation)N=27 • 2000-2005: • Further qualitative investigation in diverse educational contexts by Langlois & Lapointe (Écoles de raccrocheurs in QC; French-linguistic minority settings across Canada) N + 339= 366 • Design and validation of a quantitative research instrument designed to measure the presence of ethical leadership and ethical sensitivity (ELQ)
2005-2008: Design and experimentation of the TERA training program and further qualitative investigation in aboriginal and English-minority settings N +69= 435 • 2009-2013: Qualitativeinvestigation and TERA training with other professions (engineers, nurses, police…); Translation of ELQ in English and Spanish; Addition of items to ELQ: influence of organizational culture and other social and personal characteristics on EL and ES; investigation in public services N+6,165= 600
2013-2016: International project • 2013-2016: International Study of Ethical Leadership in diverse schoolsystems: Whatissimilar, whatisdifferent? Whatyour participation entails • Promoting participation among educational administrators (superintendents, school district officers, school principals and assistant principals, head teachers, etc) • Gathering and sending us email addresses of all potential participants (cohorts) • Eachindividualfills the Ethical Leadership Questionnaire (30 minutes) • Online • Securizedplatfom
Advantages • Each participant will receive her or his ethical leadership profile • Participating organisations will receive a collective ethical leadership profile • International co-reseachers will receive their data base and results and co-publish with the leading research team
