CONCEPT • Forestry education is an important tool in ensuring incarcerated forest productivity, sustainability, environmental and ecological security, profitability, job security and equity • Thus, RAWE is a learner centered approach of exposing students using principles of “Learning By Doing” and to provide direction to think and act on their own. • The learning process imparts a direction to the students to think and act which creates self- confidence. Self confidence is the key in rural practical oriented learning • It offers a direction to the students to develop their competence, capability and ability, capacity building, acquiring skills and expertise in addition to personality development. • RAWE is one of the best means to produce well trained, forestry graduates with broad based knowledge and techniques to meet the emerging challenges of the industries and development departments
About RFWE • RFWE Course is offered in the 7th Semester of B.Sc(For) degree Programme • Duration of RFWE is of six months duration • No of credits for RFWE is 20. • So far 238 students have participated and completed the course • The result is evaluated on 10 point scale
