Croatian Employers’ Association- History • Founded in the first half of 1993. • Since 1993, member of the International Organization of Employers (IOE -Geneva) • Since 1994, takes part in the activities of the International Labor Organization (ILO – Geneva) • Since 1999, observer member of the Confederation of European Business (BUSINESSEUROPE, Brussels). CEA - ASSOCIATION OF EDUCATION • - the newest association within CEA, established in 2011. • Actively participate in the establishment of the Croatian Qualifications Framework (based on the European Qualification Framework, the law is to be adopted). • Main aim: Strategic development of the educational system for a Competitive Economy • New strategy of education has been in the process of adoption- public debate going on now
CEA- ASSOCIATION OF EDUCATION • Strategic guidelines for the development of the educational system for a Competitive Economy (or 25-points development plan for the period 2012-2015) • Contains recommendations for: • A) Compliance with the economic policies • B) Financing, Taxes and Efficiency • C) Quality Assurance • D) Employability, content and structure of the qualification • E) Science and Research • F) Entrepreneurship and Employment
