The keys to succeed • BA/BS degree required and a Master’s preferred • International experience strongly preferred/required (multiple experiences are a bonus) • Proficiency in non-English languages • Experience working in the International Center on- campus • Consider volunteer, work-study, other student work opportunities to gain experience in the field after study abroad

How to network • NAFSA Conference is the last week of May/first week of June every year. More than 8,000 people attend all focused on the field of International Education. • Student rates available • Mentor program • Volunteer opportunities with discounted registration fees • Workshops, sessions, poster sessions, receptions, networking • NAFSA has 11 different regions and each region has a conference. • Held in late-October/early-November • Volunteer opportunities available • Great for networking in a specific region • Forum conference in early April • Focuses only on Education Abroad
