  1. Ribbon Electric Cables: It comprises numerous insulated wires running parallel with one another and is utilized to transmit multiple data simultaneously. For instance, these cables are used to connect the CPU to the motherboard and are generally used for the interconnection of networking devices. Shielded Cables: These cables consist of 1 or 2 insulated wires which are coated by a woven braided shield or aluminium Mylar foil for better signal transmission and eliminating eccentricities in the frequency of power and external interference in radio. They also convey high-voltage electric current and are safeguarded by a shield. Twisted Pair Cables: These cables consist of two or more insulated copper wires which are twirled with each other and are color-coded. They are usually utilized in telephone cables and the resistance to external interference can be gauged by the number of wires. Coaxial Cables: Coaxial cables consist of solid copper or steel conductor coated with copper which is enclosed in a metallic braid and metallic tape. This is completely concealed with an insulated shielding outer jacket. Further, they are used for computer networking and audio-video networking. Fibre Optics Cable: These cables transport optical data signals from an attached light source to the receiving device. Optical fiber cables are used in a wide variety of applications. These were some types of cables. If you wish to know more, visit Cabcon India. www.cabconindia.com
