Person I Admire • My sister, Carol, returned to college at the age of 45 to get her nursing degree • She had dropped out of college 28 years before. • She is a wife and mother of 5 children. • In May 2007, she graduated from Regis University at the top of her class. • Received the Outstanding Nursing Graduate award. • Works as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse at Children’s Hospital in Denver.

Family’s Greatest Triumph • My grandfather started Frye’s Fine Fabrics • Operated in the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. • He was a successful and creative entrepreneur and learned his retailing skills from J.C. Penney himself.

Family Traditions • On December 5, we put our shoes by the door to celebrate St. Nicholas Eve • Chocolate fondue on Christmas Eve and open 1 present (pajamas) • 4th of July picnic and fireworks in Avon Table of Contents
Favorite Family Recipe Nana’s Peanut Butter Cookies 1 c. butter 1 c. peanut butter 1 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 1 t. baking powder ½ t. salt 1 t. vanilla 3 c. flour 2 eggs Cream together butter and sugars. Add peanut butter. Mix dry ingredients together, gradually add to butter mixture. Form balls of dough, place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork dipped in flour. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350°. Cool on wire rack. Enjoy warm with a glass of milk! Table of Contents
