Rethinking Wireless Network Transport and Mobility Research Contribution • Use all available networks for sending and receiving • Add sessions into the stack between Network and Transport • Wireless focused Benjamin Hindman Stephen Dawson-Haggerty Impact Project Milestones • Decide on platform: 802.11 vs. 802.15.4 • Design location awareness interface and automatic multi-homing (possible with IPv6!) • Define interactions between this and session layer • Network location awareness is broken: apps should (sometimes) know where they are • Provide an interface to give them input into these decisions and affect multi-homing • Provide usable sessions to allow continuous mobile data logging with no app reset
