  5. In a group, pick one of the parts of the circle of influence and create a skit.

  6. What is Self Concept • Self Concept-The way you see yourself! • Self Confidence- Product of a positive self concept. Internal thoughts and beliefs about yourself. • Self Confidence means: feeling good about who you are, have regard for others, know your values and standards, exercise self discipline, being flexible, able to accept criticism, not feeling overwhelmed by weaknesses, have regard for your abilities, know your limitations and try to stretch them.

  7. Do you have Self Confidence?

  8. Reframing • Take a negative thought that is accurate, and put it in a positive context to be able to work better. • You are not putting enough effort into your school work. • If you worked harder, your grades would increase!

  9. Write a time when you should have reframed a situation.Ex: I was told that I was not a nice person in high school and that I did not leave a very good impression on the person. To reframe this, I would say that I need to watch the way I treat others and follow the golden rule!

  13. Means of Communication • 55% is communicated through body language • 38% is communicated through tone of voice • 7% is communicated through the actual words we use. • What does this say about the overall message?

  14. A Memorable Experience • My memorable experience would be when I jumped off the stage at a pageant. • My memorable experience of jumping of the stage at a pageant was quite an embarrassing moment. A. I was nervous about the pageant. B. The lights were so bright and I could not see the exit. C. I held my breath and jumped! III. My most memorable experience would have to be when I jumped off of the stage at a pageant. I was so nervous about the pageant and the lights were so blinding bright! I just held my breath and went for it! That is something that I will never forget!
