  2. St. John’s Bread & LifeMission • St. John’s Bread and Life affords itself this mission: to bring food to the poor and accompany them on their journey to wholeness by providing necessary services. We advocate for them, always mindful of the words of St Vincent “to serve others as we would serve Christ”

  3. St. John’s Bread & Life Programs • The Soup Kitchen- serves breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. All meals are planned and prepared under the guidance of a Certified New York State Nutritionist. Menus are developed based on the guests' nutritional needs and their cultural diversity, as well as quality and availability of products.

  4. St. John’s Bread & Life Programs • Mobile Soup Kitchen- is a customized recreational vehicle that serves daily hot meals and providing outreach services to a number of New York City’s most impoverished communities located in East New York, Brownsville, Jackson Heights, Coney Island, and Williamsburg.

  5. St. John’s Bread & Life Programs • Food Pantry- distributes uncooked meals to those who otherwise would not have food to feed their families. • We will be helping out in the food pantry and providing all the food collected through out the semester. • The need of food in this hard times will be a great benefit for those who cannot afford it.

  6. Collected canned foods for St. John’s Bread & Life. To provide food to those that need it within the community. To provide help and volunteers to St. John’s Bread & Life. To help out from May 28 through May 30. Project Goals

  7. Long Term Goals • To have ongoing food drives each semester. • To have more volunteers to help out in the food pantry and collecting food. • To promote the need to help out in food pantry’s.

  8. Team Goal’s • The Brooklyn College Team wanted to promote the need of helping out: • In times of rapid high cost food, the need to help those who cannot afford to buy food. • Give a helping hand to the food pantry. • Encourage people to donate food and their time to help out.
