Personnel, Space, Budget Veronique Boisvert fellow, will unfortunately finish by end of April ‘04 André Braem Francoise Cossey Claude David local staff since 1 Dec 2003, thin film lab Robert Dye left at end of LD contract on 31 Oct 2003 Alison Gouldwell doct. student since 15 Sep 2003, shared with LHCb Maurice Glaser Akhil Jhingan Visiting scientist from New Delhi (May – Nov) Christian Joram Ian McGill Michael Moll Kaspar Mühlemann retired ‘early’ ~end August 2003 Federico Ravotti associate, irradiations, dosimetry Christian Schillinger local staff since 1 Dec 2003, bond lab Cesar Torcato de Matos Trainee since Feb 03, will start a new project in PH/ED (April) Miranda van Stenis mechanical technician, since 1 Feb 2004 Gilles Romand ind, support, left in September (?) 2003

Personnel, Space, Budget ‘Associated’ members: Jacques Séguinot, (HPD project) Enrico Chesi, Peter Weilhammer • Summer students • Kees de Visser, with Maurice on readout of NaI spectrometer • Marc Goulette, with Maurice on control of PE spectrometer • Alzbeta Hielinek, with Michael on PIN diodes for dosimetry • student for Si rad hard studies (Maurice and Michael) • for 2004: 3 summer student projects in the pipeline • 4 projects for Marie Curie fellowships ‘early stage training’ submitted

Personnel, Space, Budget • Space and equipment, changes in 2003 • Lab 28-2-19 operational for Si characterization • Lab 28-2-26 , used by Enrico for HPD/EuroMedIm/Compton developments • Lab 108-1-005 converted and set-up for large evaporator • LHCb and ALICE start to prepare and use large clean room in Silicon Facility • 6319 bonder by 6400 replaced

  5. Personnel, Space, Budget • Budgets 2004 • Exploitation budgets more or less as requested (-some %), • industrial support manpower (6 months)covered. • Investment budget. TA1-SD has been treated favourably by division • Overall picture positive.
