Ed Guerin is an experienced Lacrosse coach who is currently serving as the assistant coach at Lenoir Rhyne University. Not only the young boys who he trains, but also his peers respect him for his commitment and passion for lacrosse. His outstanding coaching and efforts to improve the performance of his students are evident through the numerous wins of the team.
As an assistant coach for the Lenoir-Rhyne men's lacrosse team, Ed Guerin is responsible for managing the substitution box, facilitating agility drills and conditioning workouts, coaching offensive plays, and leading midfielders & attackman through shooting, dodging, and other offensive schemes.
His other responsibilities include recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes, assisting with athlete skill development, game planning, practice planning, scouting, academic advising, travel planning, & assisting with community service. Additionally, he takes care of the budgets, oversees part-time federal work study, and manages film sessions on opposing and own team.
It is Ed Guerin’s second season as an assistant coach for the Lenoir Rhyne men’s lacrosse team and he is enjoying his role like before. Other than the game of lacrosse, Edward holds extensive knowledge of areas, like Accounting, Economics, Business Communications, Sports Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Sports Law, Sports Leadership, Sports Planning and Design.
He is also CPR and First Aid Certified, and is proficient in Front Rush Recruiting Software and Game Breaker Video Editing Software. In his free time, Edward likes to play lacrosse, work out, or go offshore fishing. He also enjoys mountain biking and riding motorcycles.
Besides devoting time to his hobbies, he contributes to charitable causes that aim to bring a positive change in the world. He is involved with the Vs. Cancer Foundation and has contributed over $6,500 towards pediatric cancer research by leading numerous student athletes.
