Beaux • Some features of Beaux 1. It has a Symmetrical form to the exterior design of the buildings that have the beaux design. 2. The beaux has a more formal design to the way it looks to people. 3. Beaux has a splendor form to the way the curves and arches are made. 4. It has a lot of elaborate ornamentation with its sculptures, murals, and other artwork. 5. It has arched windows with arched doors mixed in with its slender look.
Beaux • A famous building for beaux would be the Garnier Palace. • Its an opera that seats 1,979 people, it was built in 1861 to 1875 for the Paris opera. • The Garnier Palace is probably the most famous opera house in the world, and a symbol of Paris like Notre Dame Cathedral.
Beaux • A common location for the beaux style would be United States and Argentina. • The U.S. had its first architect enter in Ecole des Beaux Art who was Richard Morris Hunt, followed by Henry Hobson Robinson which introduced beaux art to the U.S. • A famous Architect for Beaux would be Richard Morris Hunt, he was the first to enter into Ecole des Beaux Art. • Hunt was a remarkable architect who founded the first school in the U.S.
Neo Gothic (1906-1930 A.D.)
Neo Gothic • Five features of Neo gothic 1. Christian values were infused with gothic architecture as said Augustus pugin. 2. Pointed windows were used in neo gothic architecture to support medievalism. 3. Gothic Revival architecture mixed very much in its faithfulness to both the ornamental style and principles of construction of its medieval original. 4. it was tangled with deeply idealistic movements related with a new start of High Church or Anglo-Catholic.

The Gothic Revival was supported by medievalism, which had its roots in antiquarian concerns with survivals and curiosities. • A famous Building for neo gothic would be the palace of Westminister. • It was the first royal palace built and Westminister was the primary London residence for the Kings of London. • It was later demolished by fire and rebuilt, it was used for parliaments after.
Neo Gothic • A common location to see neo gothic would be Europe and Russia. • Augustus welby pugin was an English architect who was remembered for his role in neo gothic. • Pugin designed many churches in England and he worked on the interior design of the Palace of Westminister.
Art Deco (1925-1937 A.D.)
Art Deco • Five features of Art Deco 1. An Art Deco feature would be the zig zag patterns it demonstrates. 2. Another pattern art deco introduces would be vertical line with the zig zag pattern. 3. Art Deco has an eclectic style( craft motifs & machine age imagery materials) that it brings to the buildings. 4. Art Deco is a modern style that has symmetry rather than asymmetry. 5. The Art Deco style is often characterized by rich colors, bold geometric shapes, and abundant ornamentation.
Art Deco • In Art Deco a unique building would have to be the Chrysler Building in New York City. • The Chrysler building was the tallest building for 11 months until the empire state building surpassed it. • The Chrysler Building is a classic example of Art Deco architecture and considered by many modern architects to be one of the finest buildings in New York City. • A common location for Art Deco would have to be the United States, the U.s. has many examples of Art deco architecture. • An architect to talk about would be Paul Bellot who was one of the architects who influenced Art Deco.
