  4. RFM WG RNG WG C&S WG SLP WG NGU WG MHDC WG SDLS WG OCM SIG PlaCom SIG • 4. SLS-SLP WG • Goal: • 1) Should we move the following Pink Sheets that passed agency review forward that were temporarily suspended: • TM Space Data Link Protocol (‘OID’ Frame and VCP Service)-CV 2003 • AOS Space Data Link Protocol (‘OID’ Frame and VCP Service)- CV 2006 • TC Space Data Link (CRC unification) – CV 2003 • 2) Review of Comments on Proximity-1 Data Link Layer Blue book • 3) Disposition RIDs against TC Retransmission parameter pink Sheets submitted by ESA • 4) Review the plan to update the SLP Green Books due to TC Retransmission parameter pink sheets • 5) Discuss decoupling the transfer frame from the coding layer for future CCSDS agency missions. • 6) Discuss with Marc Blanchet – SANA Registries for Space Link Identifiers and plan of action • WG Status: Active X Idle ____ • WG Summary Situation: 11/6/2014

  5. SLS-SLP WG • Summary progress: • TM and AOS Space Data Link Protocol BBs containing VCP and ‘OID’ frame changes require another agency review. Discrepancies are being resolved by Matt Cosby before these books are sent for review. Note: Concern that SDLS WG may change TM Space Data Link Protocol for Security header. • Partial review of Prox-1 Space Data Link Layer Protocol accomplished during meeting. Remainder of document will be reviewed via Telecons. • WG agrees to advance all 3 pink sheets concerning TC retransmission repeat parameter to Blue (See Resolution #1). New project spawned to update appropriate SLP GBs. • Marc Blanchet has provided SLP with a mechanism for inputting current and future Space Link Identifiers into SANA registries. New Project will be formed to create policies for these parameters. 11/6/2014

  6. SLS-SLP WG (cnt’d) • Planning : • Create a new project in SLP (SANA-Space Link Identifiers) to work with Marc Blanchet to define the policies associated with the existing Space Link Identifiers and some potential new parameters (e.g., PN sequences) • Create a new project in SLP to update the applicable SLP GBs to match TC retransmission repeat parameter • Space Data Link Protocols – CCSDS 130.2-G-1 (2007) 11/6/2014

  7. SLS-SLP WG (cnt’d) • Resolutions : • Retire the Telemetry Green Book, Telemetry Summary of Concept and Rationale CCSDS 100.0-G-1 (1987) . • Request the MC issue a new Blue Book version of the following Pink Sheets concerning the new TC Frame retransmission repeat parameter: • TC Sync and Channel Coding, CCSDS 231.0-P-1.1 • TC Space Data Link Protocol, CCSDS 232.0-P-1.2 • COP-1, CCSDS 232.1-P1.1 • Note: Ensure that the Secretariat includes the previously approved pink sheets for the CRC unification to the TC Space Data link Protocol before the book is republished. 11/6/2014

  8. RFM WG RNG WG C&S WG SLP WG NGU WG MHDC WG SDLS WG OCM SIG PlaCom SIG • 5. Next Generation Uplink WG • Goal: • Discuss the rationale and futher work associated with the Emergency Uplink Application Profile • Identify any needs for advanced coding in the TC standard • Discuss Agency approaches towards Multiple Spacecraft per Aperture (MSPA) Uplink • WG Status: Active X Idle ____ • WG Summary Situation: Good progress. 8

  9. NGU WG Summary Progress • NASA and CNES identified needs to add the CC(7,1/2) to Telecommand Standard. These agencies will coordinate one white paper on this topic to be given at the Fall 2010 CCSDS meeting. POC are Greg Kazz/Gilles Moury • Motivation for Emergency Comm Deep Space Application Profile are: • Lower EIRP available on 70m network • Need to upload more data to deep space assets • Going futher away to outer planets • Direct for Earth commanding of small landers on Mars • No need to develop Emergency Comm Application Profile for Near Earth 11/6/2014 9

  10. Next Generation Uplink WG (cnt’d) • Problems and Issues: • None 11/6/2014 10

  11. Next Generation Uplink WG (cnt’d) • Planning : • Requested C&S WG to create new project to add CC(7,1/2) to TC. Examine: BCH + CC(7,1/2) case and CC(7,1/2) standalone case • Develop specific reference mission scenarios containing target metrics for EIRP, G/T, Eb/No, FER etc for the Emergency Uplink Deep Space application Profile • Combine the NASA and ESA reports on MSPA-uplink into one report such that both short term and long term objectives are clearly identified. Identify any needs for future standardization and cross-support. • NGU to reply back to RF&MOD WG on which set of 1.5 dB data rate steps are to be used in RF&MOD 2.2.8 telecommand bit rates including the tolerance specification. 11/6/2014 11

  12. Next Generation Uplink WG (cnt’d) • Resolutions : • None at this time. 11/6/2014 12
