  3. Main Project Objective • Learn About Sound Pollution • To inform others about the serious harm form sound pollution • To test mice in a maze using sound pollution and watching the effects

  4. Service to Learning • Giving back to the community through our research • Write a letter to the state senator about our concerns State Senator-Pat Toomey

Sound Pollution • sound pollution affects everything • surface motor vehicles produce approximately 85 percent of all intrusive environmental noise • sound pollution is beginning to reach new heights with the high demand of motor vehicles with the new increasing population • aircraft noise is also a major component • other sound pollution includes industrial plants, amplified music, garden and power tools, and sirens and alarms • human and animal sounds are NOT noise pollution unless projected with man made machines • noise pollution can lead to health issues
