Functions- Modern Uses Video Camera- records moving images and sound iPod- portable music player invented by Apple Walkie Talkie- allows two people to communicate from different locations Lap Counter- located on the user’s wrist & counts the number of laps swum Stopwatch- records times and splits of races Self-Tightening Power Shoes- uses small motors to tighten shoe laces by pressing and holding a button Photochromic Lenses- darken when sensing UV light - made by embedding microchrystallinesilver hallicles or modules in glass Prescription Glasses- allow sight impaired people to see better Voice Command- allows user to perform different commands
