featured-products-for-cellular-neuroscience-research

In order to enhance our understanding of the functioning of the nervous system, scientists have successfully cultured neuronal cells in vitro. However, since mature neurons do not undergo cell division, it is particularly challenging to culture neuronal cells.<br>https://neuros.creative-biolabs.com/category-neural-cell-culture-43.htm

  4. Everything we do is rooted in neuroscience. Creative Biolabs is a biotechnology company that focuses on discovering, developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative, high-quality scientific tools for world-wide neuroscientists. Particularly, our vision is to enable our customers to achieve outstanding success and breakthroughs in the principles of serious neurology disorders such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease), Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson’s Disease (PD). We thereby make improvements in life possible. https biolabs.com/support/brochure/ne ural com.pdf 01 Overview 04

  5. Cellular neuroscience is the study of neurons at the cellular level, including cell morphology and physiological properties. It examines various types of neurons, the function of different neurons, and the interaction between neurons. There are over 8 billion neurons in the human brain, and they are diverse with respect to morphology and functions. The function of neurons is to receive, propagate and transmit electrochemical impulses. The study of neurons at the cellular level provides insight into how neurons carry out their function, the mechanism of signal transductions and the primary cause of neurological diseases. GPCR Stable Cell Lines for Drug Discovery GPCRs are involved in a wide variety of physiological processes and diseases. The pharmaceutical industry uses GPCR stable cell lines in target discovery, target validation, assay development, and compound screening. They are also used in academia to evaluate the mechanisms of biological processes. Genetically Encoded Calcium Indicators for Calcium Imaging In neurons, electrical activity is always accompanied by an influx of Ca2+ ions. Thus, calcium imaging can be used to visualize and decode the electrical activity in hundreds of neurons in cell culture or living animals, which has made it possible to dissect the function of neuronal circuits, as well as to investigate the roles that calcium ions have in functioning neurons. Neural Cell Culture System Neuronal cultures are indispensable in the fields of neuroscience and pharmacology. The ability to produce in vitro cultures of neuronal cells has been fundamental for advancing our understanding of the functions of the nervous system. We specialize in providing the highest quality media supplements, adhesion substrates, verification antibodies, and neuromodulators for neuronal cell culture research. 01 Overview 05

  6. G transmembrane receptors (7-TM receptors), are the largest family of membrane receptors with nearly 1,000 presented in the human genome. They are found only in eukaryotes (e.g., yeast, plants and animals), and can be activated by neurotransmitters, hormones, pheromones, odors, etc. Being involved in diseases such as cancers, immunological disorders, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and mental illnesses, GPCRs are an important drug targets and estimated to be targets of 50% of drugs currently on the market. Protein-coupled Receptors (GPCRs), also konwn as 7- There are two signaling transduction pathways involving GPCRs: the cAMP signaling pathway and the phosphatidylinositol signaling pathway. The mechanism of the signaling pathways includes the activation of GPCR by an external signal in the form of a ligand, which creates a conformational change in the receptor, thus, causing activation of a G protein (guanine nucleotide-binding proteins). Class Receptor Family Name Type of Ligand Class A (or 1) Rhodopsin-like receptors Hormone, Neuropeptide, Neurotransmitter, and Light Class B (or 2) Secretin family receptors Hormone (e.g., secretin and glucagon) Class C (or 3) Metabotropic glutamate/pheromone receptors Glutamate Class D (or 4) Fungal mating pheromone receptors Mating factors Class E (or 5) Cyclic AMP receptors cAMP Class F (or 6) Frizzled/Smoothened receptors Wnt proteins/Hedgehog (Hh) One of the great features of GPCRs is that they are druggable. Despite that, only a small percentage of the known and verified GPCRs have been targeted for therapeutics. Hence, there remains enormous scope for researchers to delineate the numerous roles of GPCRs in basic physiology and pathophysiology, and to thereby understand and develop new treatments for disease. 02 GPCR Stable Cell Line 06

  16. Intracellular Ca2+, as one of the most important second messengers, is central to neuronal signaling. Abnormalities in Ca2+ signaling have severe pathological consequences and can result in neurodegeneration, disorders of the central nervous, etc. Genetically encoded calcium indicators (GECIs) are widely used in the studies of neuron. The GECI binds to calcium ions intracellular calcium concentration, enables detection of in vivo neuronal firing activity. Various GECIs have been developed and can be chosen for diverse purposes. and emits fluorescence visualizing https:///files/Articles/127www.fro ntiersin.org475/fphar HTML/image_m/fphar g001.jpg Overview of GPCR Signal Detection by GCaMP Sensor [Reference: Partridge, J. 17. Glutamate is a nonessential amino acid, a major bioenergetic substrate for proliferating normal and neoplastic cells, and an excitatory neurotransmitter that is actively involved in biosynthetic, bioenergetic, metabolic, and oncogenic signaling pathways. Glutamate signaling activates a family of receptors consisting of metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGluRs) and ionotropic glutamate receptors (iGluRs), both of which have been implicated in chronic disabling brain disorders such as Schizophrenia and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and multiple sclerosis. Calcium Indicators - CaMPARI, GCaMP, RCaMP, jRGECO1 | Glutamate Indicators - iGluSnFR Biosensors are genetically encoded fluorescent proteins (FP) attached to an additional protein sequence which makes them sensitive to small biomolecules (e.g., Ca2+). Adeno-associated virus (AAV) Biosensor products come as ready-to-use AAV virus. The viruses encode your chosen biosensor, either calcium or neurotransmitter sensors and are ready for in vivo injection. Creative Biolabs offers a range of Calcium or Neurotransmitter Biosensor products that come ready-to-use, with a choice of promoter and the ability to include the Cre inducible (FLEX-ON) expression. We have packaged these indicators into the most commonly used AAV serotypes (AAV8 and AAV9). Our Products Our collection of over 2,000 AAV products is made up of various genetic elements, packaged into different serotypes in multiple combinations. The table below shows the popular options available from us. Please contact us if you need a different serotype.
