Create a Workshop Atmosphere *Forces students to think about their thinking, and articulate it through instructional conversations and writing. *Students become in charge of their learning. They help make decisions (with your guidance), set their own goals, and reflect on where they have been and where they want to go. *They see the classroom as a community that they can learn from and contribute to. It creates a sense of AGENCY (something we are lacking in now). Choice Words- Peter Johnston
